About the Estimate
How accurate is the instant estimate?
It uses our normal rates for the Portland and Vancouver area and allows ten percent waste on materials, so it lands close on a straightforward job. What moves it is anything we cannot see from here, mainly the state of the subfloor and how the room is cut up. We confirm the number at the measure.
Why is it a range and not one price?
Because material inside one category ranges widely. Budget luxury vinyl plank and the thick commercial grade stuff are both luxury vinyl plank, and they are not the same price. The range covers the bottom and the top of what we normally fit.
Does the estimate include taking the old floor out?
Yes. Pulling the old floor up and hauling it away is a line in the estimate, priced on what is down there now.
Is the measure free?
Yes. We come out, measure properly, and give you a firm price with no charge for the visit.
What if the subfloor needs work?
Tick the subfloor box in the calculator and it adds leveling and patching. If we find more once the old floor is up, we tell you before we carry on, not after.
